🙏🏻 Back in June, I was praying at church about mine and Nicki’s new role as National Convenors for the United States Coalition of Apostolic Leaders (USCAL)….

Those of us in leadership who believe in the legitimacy of apostolic and prophetic ministry today, confirm the need for accepted ethics of integrity and accountability. We stand firmly against certain aberrations promoted by some charismatic leaders and some who identify themselves as apostles and prophets.

There are four unique currents that have converged into our unique stream of Pentecostal/Charismatic Christianity over the last 40 years. It’s been called many things, yet its components are basically these:

As a person who has been part of the Apostolic Movement since 1989 I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. That being said, I believe all of the five-fold ministry gifts mentioned in Ephesians 4:11 have always been present throughout church history (leaders were functioning these ways, whether they used these titles or not).

As someone who has been involved in teaching and implementing principles of the Kingdom of God since the mid-1990’s I have observed many ways Christian leaders do not expand the kingdom! The following are some of the most common ways we work without kingdom effectiveness.

One of the first goals of the national coalitions is to help restore the church to the simplicity, authenticity and effectiveness of the (Apostolic) New Testament church model. The apostolic church in the first century was marked with rapid growth that resulted in penetrating every aspect of culture resulting in transforming the Roman Empire within three centuries!

When it comes to reconciliation, there are five ways to break it down.
Several weeks ago, my dear friend Bishop Harry Jackson called a few leaders and discussed his plans to initiate an event to deal with the issue of the worsening racial divide in America. The result was "The Reconciled Church" event on Jan. 15 (providentially the date of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday), which was hosted by Bishop T.D. Jakes in the Potter's House church in Dallas, Texas.  
 

The book of Ephesians 4:10-16 teaches us that the ministry gift of apostle will continue to function so that Christ can fill all things (every realm of society) until we come to full maturity in Christ as a church. Obviously these two things have not yet happened. So the question arises: What would the ministry of apostle look like in today’s world?

The word of God teaches us that those set in to minister to the body of Christ have a function based on their supernatural and motivational giftings. How someone is “wired” will determine how they view life, the church, the priorities of Christianity, and ministry

The so-called Apostolic Reformation since the mid 90’s signaled the end of identifying Christian movements merely by denominations. With that, there was a new emphasis on visionary leaders in the body of Christ known to function with the five-fold ministry gift of apostle (Ephesians 4:11).
